Harnessing Parliamentary Diplomacy for Realization of Global Solidarity, Equality and Sustainability
About P20
Parliaments of the leading world economies organised under the G20 platform, came together to sharpen the coordination of the role of legislatures or parliaments in the achievement of the goals of G20 nations. In recognition of the strategic and meaningful roles of Parliaments, the Parliamentary Group (P20) was set up at the 2018 Summit in Buenos Aires as a platform for Speakers of Parliament.
The Speakers or Presidents of Parliaments have since been facilitating multilateral and bilateral dialogues and engagements to strengthen global collaboration and ensure the practical implementation of international agreements in the G20 Group member countries.

It will facilitate a range of high-level engagements aimed at raising the bar in the execution of the G20 resolutions and those of the previous P20 summits under the theme: Harnessing Parliamentary Diplomacy for Realization of Global Solidarity, Equality and Sustainability.
Anchoring the current South African leadership of these global multi-lateral organisations, is advancing of national and continental development and economic priorities that include efforts to build a more just, equal and sustainable new world order.
The P20 will be hosted under the guidance and leadership of the Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) and the Speaker of the National Assembly (NA).
